UNIT: BEING AN AUTHENTIC CHURCH.  LESSON: BUILT ON CHRIST. 

I. People of the church turn from sin and self and desire God’s Word for spiritual growth. – 1 Peter 2:1-5; 

II. Jesus is the true and essential foundation of the church. – 1 Peter 2:6-8; 

III. People of the church received God’s mercy to be His people, and should live a life that reflects that. – 1 Peter 2:9-12. 

Everything in the church is to center on Jesus Christ
